CNY + Valentine's

CNY celebrations in school this year was quite bad. There was no mood, as everyone says, and some of the programmes lined up are really just fail. Maybe it feels quite sian this year because we didn't sing the CNY songs that we usually do. Just thought about it. I shall not comment too much about it.Some photos I took while the programme was sian-ing:
I can't really feel the festive mood this CNY. Not sure whether it is because everyone is all grown up, or that the feeling CNY brings is just different now. Mostly, I am relieved to some extent that I didn't get to dress up very nicely and completely due to the lack of time, because I found out that no one really cares, lol.
I also felt that this year's CNY came too soon. I mean, I feel that I didn't have enough time to anticipate it coming, nor myself wearing heels for the first time in my life (I definitely didn't have much time to practice), and on top of all of that, everyth just felt so sui bian!
Yesterday, I woke up at a whooping 12.30pm, which is really freaking late because I was so tired the night before. I was barely given 15 minutes before my father wanted to set off for my grandma's place. You knw what, I didn't even have the time to bathe! I hate being rushed around, and initially I was planning to sort out my weekend homework first and clear out my desk, but guess not.
So feeling slightly sian, and also kind of shaky when I stepped into the heels (I seriously wasn't mentally prepared), I set off feeling mostly uncomfortable. My father was doubtful to me wearing the heels though. He asked me "Are you sure it's not too high? You don't usually wear so high shoes right?" It would have been funny if I wasn't feeling so sian.
All the while when I was at my grandma's place, I just sat and watched TV, ate some junk. I didn't even get to talk to my cousins because they were all engrossed with Mahjong in the next room ): So were all the adults. It was quite sian really. And this is where I said I'm glad I didn't get to be fully prepared after all. Like anyone really cares.
My family left after a few hours to go home and prepare our stuffs to go to Malaysia in the evening. I only brought along my Everlast and FBTs to change, since my mother said the area around my grandma's house in Malaysia had been cut off from water supply. She says it happens all the time during CNY because of something about the government, lol.
You knw how tough it is to live without water?! My father had to drive out to their mini marts to buy mineral water so we could brush our teeth and wash up. And even so, we were only limited to buying 4 500ml bottles because everyone needs them as well. It was quite terrible really. The weather was hot and humid, of course above all sian.
This morning when my father was driving us to some place for breakfast, we even saw loads of people standing by this huge well, collecting water! Damn classic.
Sometimes I wonder why two places with just the distance of a bridge apart can be so different. In Malaysia, we really have to have patience in terms of waiting to be served our food. Last night, while we were out for supper, I think we waited for 15 minutes or more for the food to finally come. This morning, it was worse. 10 minutes just to place our orders, and more for the food to come =/
That's all to my CNY. Damn sian I knw. I feel so too. And tmr, there's no place to go, so I think I'll just go out and get some things that I need because the shops have been closed on New Year's Eve, then it'll be back to doing work or stoning.
The thought of school starting is plain sian.
