Good ol' days

The day started with house meeting for the upcoming sports day. I'm in purple house now, and there isn't anything much to it, really. Other than the fact that Ms C.Lim keeps trying to make me put my name down to run, but I really really don't want to. I didn't write my name down on anything, not even on the list of sportsmen, I sure hope she doesn't add my name in any of those, or I'm definitely going to skip school on that day...[Rant]I hate house events. They always make me feel like we're gathering for the sake of it, competing for the sake of it. If we only meet a maximum of twice per year, sometimes only once, what house spirit is there to speak of? Joke.
Shixian said that the house system reflects Markonikov's rule: The rich gets richer. The leaders are always given the roles of leading, while the others are expected to follow. As for the running... They are hell discriminatory, and will do anything just to get the runners they want on the list. Why would I want to run for a house like that?! K la, every house is like that, which explains why I've never really participated actively in house events. [/Rant]
Anyw, today was awesome because of the company of the following groups of people:
Played Pepsi-Cola with 5R today! Reminds me of the days back in primary school where we all used to love playing the game with lots of tricks and flicks as well. I enjoyed myself greatly in the games, even though mostly I was just taking photos!
Sadly, Mrs Chan wasn't in school today so we couldn't present to her what we have prepared for her. I suspect I was in a half-conscious state of mind this morning because I mistakenly wrote "Ms Chan" and "Ms Vong" on the boards. Hope they don't mind though!
I was so darn surprised when I saw Mr Tan in the crowd when I was trying to look for Ms Chia to give her what we've made for her. He didn't even tell us that he's coming back! And he showed me a photo of his newborn baby! He might invite us to his place when his baby 满月 :D We could totally tell that he's so much closer to us than the rest of his students (HOHOHO), and I am grateful for everything he did for us :)
I have to say that I was so doubtful that the gathering would be successful when Kailin texted me on Sunday night to organise one for today, because for one, it was really impromptu, and also that we have graduated for such a long time. I have this impression that many people will not be willing/bother to come at all. That's why I am really pleasantly surprised at the number of positive responses that I've gotten this time round.
Special thanks to those here: Kevin, Shikai, Tony Liu, Jiaqiang, Haixin, Tony Li, Sherry, Kailin, Yeejin, Shuwen, Tzehui and Eileen for making time to come and meet up with us. We had a lovely dinner and caught up with each other till late, although they cannot stop talking about academics LOL!
Many others couldn't make it because of prelims/ongoing tests and projects. But Kenny and Vivian did come and say hi to us :) Everybody may look slightly different, but I feel that we are all still the same inside. I feel really glad that after 6 long years, we are still able to meet up and relieve the past.
I suppose the next gathering will be after 'A's already. And we'll do something apart than just eating!
Alright, time to sleep. Got to get my shit together TOMORROW.
Shan't procrastinate anymore!

[edit @ 2.14am] There's something about the serenity of the night that sets me in different moods. Sometimes simply soothing calmness, a kind of stability and assurance that everything is going to be alright. Like now.
I. SHOULD. SLEEP. NOW. [/edit]
